TAPESTRY OF VOICE (Podcast)

A texture of voices, sounds, accents reflecting how having access to multiple ways of expression is an instrument of empowerment.

Tapestry of voices will be produced during the first local workshops and first LTTA. During them, the Learners will be confronted with how to speak about themselves even though one is not a master of the language they find themselves immersed in, as well as reevaluating the values of their mother tongues. From this linguistic melting pot, the Learners will be tasked with producing and translating among themselves a number of short texts. Those short texts will then be dramaturgically reassembled, interpreted and recorded in the first Transnational Training Focus. The outcome will be a tapestry of voices, sounds, accents that will reflect how having access to multiple ways of expression is an instrument of empowerment. The audio resources will be made freely available as a series of recordings hosted on various platforms, including the website of La Langue des Oiseaux. Apart from the general public, the Result will also be sent to cultural centres and educational bodies (such as secondary schools or universities, or performing arts academies) in order to target their staff, students and visitors; they can be used as a tool for reflecting on how multilingualism can effectively convey a diversified access to the arts.
